Poor service and slow to process application

I've applied online for a personal credit card 5 weeks ago. Since then I've had to call several times to check progress, each time having to make the call since I never received any comms to inform me of what was required. About 10 days ago, when I phoned to enquire, I was finally told that the application had been approved. The consultant gave me the allocated credit limit and interest rate, initiation fee and details on repayment method, as well as delivery details. I was told the card would be delivered early last week. Today I phoned back to enquire as to why it still wasn't delivered, since a whole week has gone by with no communication yet again - only to be told that the application was in fact not yet approved! How in the world do they give me all the details of an approved application, tell me the card will be delivered and then when I don't hear from them again and phone to enquire, they give me a different story? The consultant I spoke to today was not at all interested in being helpful or assuring me it will be sorted out and didn't get back to me before end of the day as requested. I expect I'll have to phone again tomorrow since I probably won't hear from them. Fedup!
