Iburst
Telemarketing misleading consume

I entered in a month to month agreement (R149 - R1599-once off for modem) with iburst 3 years ago which I was very happy with. A tele marketing agent phoned me in Feb 2013. He said that he could see I am on a amount of R149 per month and if they could offer the new contract for R134 per month and I accepted. He asked me after I accepted the rate if I need anything and if I am still happy with my modem. I said I was happy. He said that if I need anything I can just phone. He did not give me any tarrif options for a contract with or without a modem. I currently have problems with the modem I bought and phoned iburst to see if they can supply the modem that I thought was part of the contract. The sales lady told me that she cannot supply a modem and if so my tarrif will increase to R199 p/m. I was really upset because why will I change into an agreement for 2 years if there is no benefit for me. If the telesales gave me the correct options I would have never made the change. The sales lady told me that she will check the telephone conversation and give feedback which I am still waiting for. I did not receive any documentation regarding the contract sold to me.
