This is an absolute joke. My phone was so I needed to get a replacement SIM card. I am on a contract so I assumed my SIM card would be replaced as I am already paying a monthly fee. I was told at the store that I must pay over R180 for a new SIM card. This is ridicules when you can get a new SIM card for R1 if you are on pay as you go. It wasn't my fault my phone was and now MTN has jumped on the bandwagon to make a quick buck. I could understand been charged if you didn't have a contract with the suppliers but still don't understand why you are charged when you pay a monthly fee to use them and if you are on pay as you go you pay R1? Please respond would love to know why?
