Escom erected a new pole and transferred electricity wires from unstable pole to the new pole, but could not remove unstable pole until Telkom came to transfer Telkom wires from unstable pole to new pole. Repeated emails and calls to Telkom eventually resulted in them coming to view the situation and telling us they would send contractors to do the job. This has been going on since January 2013. We have been living here since 1959 and Escom warned us that the unstable pole was dangerous and not to go near it. It is situated across from our bedroom window. We are old people - 83 and 80. We are now tired of sending emails and we would like something to be done - we would like Telkom to transfer the wires and remove the unstable pole so that we can sleep in peace.
