ANOTHER EPIC VODACOM FAIL

On friday night at 8pm, my cellphone stop working and presented me with an error 'sim provisioned 2'. I called Vodacom Customer Call centre and spoke to the manager called Bianca. She informed me that my number had been ported to another service provider either MTN or Cell C. As far as I know it is a lengthy procedure to do this, one would need an ID book, proof of residence and the owner of the cellphone would need to be present for this change. For 11 years I have had that cellphone no. first it was on contract then it changed to prepaid. 3 days before this I had topped up my prepaid services by R260.00 and had bought BIS as I own a BB. I was told that someone had changed my service provider, making me lose my number and service. I have been without a cellphone on one of the busiest weekends this year. I am a photographer & had 2 weddings on Saturday and shot the Argus. I was unable to email use twitter, create new business, I was unable to be contacted which has made me lose a lot of business causing HUGE inconvenience for me. Please advise how this happened? and when it will be sorted out?
