Firstly I have to mention that I have had an mtn celll phone account for 16 years now, so I am not a new customer? Having said that, every customer is important but where is the payback for loyalty to a brand? In January I purchased a wireless modem and signed a 2 yr contract for a 3gig uncapped internet service. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. The contract was done thru MWEB but the actual internet service is provided by MTN. The agreement is that on a given date the internet is reset to ZERO so that the download speed is fast, after 3 gigs it is throttled and download speed goes down. On 3rd of Feb, it didnt reset. I complained. Was told that mtn has 21st as reset date. 21st came and it didnt reset. 3 march has come and gone and no reset! Mweb has fought for me every step of the way, giving me freeboosters to speed up my internet. Nothing from MTN. What is interesting is that MTN says they have a technical problem and cannot say when it will be solved and will not commit to a date. MWEB fought for me, at my request to cancel this contract which for me is a last resort because I am a loyal MTN client and no word from them to make me happy and keep me? Hello vodacom/cell c
