Check your bill for Content Charge!

For a long time MTN started to add a "Content charge" on their invoice.
I phoned MTN and was told that I have subscribed to some service, which I did not and then they sent an email to their partner to unsubscribe me. Who subsribed me???
I have since find out that this is a wide spread practice, speaking to family, friends and even taxi driver.
We seem to be powerless to stop this practice.
I visited a Hellopeter site and found also people complaining about this.
If MTN handles say 15 million accounts and invoices on average R5-R10 Content charge, there is good chance that half the people will not spot such small charge on their invoice. An if you do, you hit a brick wall in form of MTN, who do not take any responsibility and pass the blame on their partner. MTN invoices the amount, take their cut and the is netting both companies astronomical figures.
MTN is trying to make it the consumer's problem and tells you to phone these companies. We have a contract with MTN and they refuse to take responsibility. They refuse to give a number of person responsible at MTN. Verbally they informed me that they will refund us these amounts. They will not block such services.
