Not willing to replace a faulty phone

In October 2012 I took out two contracts with Cell C, my wife's phone worked for about two months and the rest of the time it has been in for repairs. It has went in for repairs three times. I was informed on Friday (1 March 2013) that the phone is ready for collection. Upon arrival I was told that they had not done any repairs to the phone and that the report states " beyond economical repair". Now Cell C head office as well as the local store will not replace the phone even though there's no physical damaged to the phone whilst been used for the first two months of ownership. It frustrates me that the phone has been gone for two months and with no positive outcome I'm told that no one will be replacing the phone.
