I recently took out a Blackberry on Top Up contract at the Cresta Mall branch with zero hassles. While downloading an audiobook off the App World on 3 Jan my handset froze. I handed it back to Cresta Mall branch for repairs on 4 Jan & was advised it would take maximum 21 days which I accepted. I also know that a phone freezing is a mere software upgrade that would not even take a day.
I recieved an sms from Cell C advising me that my phone has been recieved at the Midrand Repair centre queue. My complaint is that I recieved this sms on 12 Jan. 7Jan to 12 Jan (considering the possible 1-day-later collection time)?? I don't understand how it takes over 5 days for a phone to be delivered from Cresta to Midrand. Is this a deliberate delay? Did someone neglect to provide service?
May this delay please be addressed. Else I may only recived my handset back at the end of January if 5 days travel time is really the norm.
