I travelled to New Zealand, Australia and Dubai over the period December 2012 and January 2013, only to return to find a bill for R 22585.91, 95 % of which was for data.
I did request roaming but was never informed of the data costs, nor was I informed of social networking and emails not being free.
I requested a breakdown of these costs and was given it... but getting through to speak to anyone or even getting a reply via an email is pathethic..I have yet to receive a call from Praveshini or a reply to my mail.
Mtn does not care and as usual the account was debited,
"You will be charged by the roaming network the minimum connection fee whether data is transferred to your phone or not."
I have also been debited for another R 7500 and have not received my statement as yet...
I have been with MTN for almost 20 years and it is sad to be treated in this manner.
Get your act together Mtn!!!
I wait in anticipation for a reply...
