I have been due for an upgrade on my MTN for a number of months and have been a customer for over 4years, however I have been waiting for the iPhone 5 to become available (that alone is another issue in itself!!).
I enquired about how much it would cost to add a topup option to an MTN Anytime contract and was told it would cost an additional R10 per month. But the employee backtracked quickly when I stated that I would like an iPhone 5 on Anytime 200 and went on to say that, on this particular contract the Topup option will cost R40per month instead of R10.
I would like to know how it is acceptable to charge 4 times more for exactly the same service? Surely this is extortion?!
