TELKOM: - Incompetent Again

On the 28th January, I phoned Telkom to advise that I was moving out of my existing place and would be staying in a temporary place for a month whereafter I would move into my new place on the 1st March 2013. I confirmed my new address at that point in time. I wanted to move my ADSL line. I was told I needed to cancel my line and three days before I move in, I would have to log a call. For three days, I phone Telkom every day to confirm that they ADSL capability in the area of the new location. Each time I was advised all was okay. This helped me feel at ease and believe the 3 day lead time.

On Tuesday the 26th February, I log a call (as per what I was advised) for the installation. I was advised that I would be called back to confirm date and time of installation.By 17h00 I had not heard back. I called the call centre again. Zanele took my call and advised that the manager would call me the next day.

To date, I have had no response. Today, I log a complaint on Facebook. I suddenly get a response, however the person says he will contact me back.By 16h00, I phone back to get an update. The person has left the office for the day and not contacted me. I have to wait upto21 DAYS!!
