I had sent a request for an urgent change of banking details and on the 21st of February 2013 Alice Van Der Merwe confirmed that the banking details had been changed. Today 01 March 2013 I received a text from FNB stating that my account had been debited by MTNSP on the 1st of March 2013 00:00:00. I had recently transferred all my funds from my FNB account to my new Nedbank account and had the intention of closing the account today, But now I have a negative balance on the FNB account due to the MTNSP debit order. How on earth could this happen when Alice had confirmed that the details had been changed??? This will now reflect negatively on my record! Why did MTN not debit my Nedbank account?
