Use of cancelled contract

Last year I had a phone which was on contract with Vodacom.. I subsequently reported this to vodacom and was told that the phone would be soft locked and could not be cancelled and that I'd still be responsible for the contract amount of R238.50 PM which I accepted. Suddenly 6 months later I see an amount of almost R1500 deducted off my accc.By vodacom I call them to ask what its about and after 35minutes of being pushed from pillar to post I'm told to go to vodacom woodlands and after 45 min there of explaining I'm told well, we have no recor of the phone being reported and although the account has not shown any activity for the last 5 months, Now suddenly it is I'm still responsible plus there is a pending ount of R3800 due in April!! I called the number and an african women answered I got all her details and I'm still told vodacom cannot do anything!!! This is! I'm sitting at the vodacare in tears and I'm told.. We will see what we can do but it does not look good! Can no one HELP me! I'm horrified that a company as big as vodacom can allow this, I had this phone more than 6 months ago, reported it and now I'm paying!!!
