Not transferring existing CellC Number to Contract

I signed up for a Straight Up 200 Contract with Cell C Direct on the 17 January 2013 with instructions for them to use my existing Cell C Number as the new contract number to which they agreed and made a note of it on their IT System. I received my phone from Cell C on the 15th of February 2013. I called them twice on that day to ensure that they had transferred my existing Cell C number to the new Straight Up Contract. They told me yes, it was in process and will take 24 hours. 24 Hours later, this was not done. I called Cell C direct again on Sunday the 17th of February 2013 and they apologized and told me they have now processed it and it will take 24 hours. Again 24 hours later, this was not done. I called again on Tuesday (19th Feb) and got the same story and again nothing was done. I called again on Thursday 21st Feb, got the same story and nothing was done. Hence i have a lovely Iphone 5 for 8 Days but cannot use it due to Cell C Directs failure in not transferring my old number to the new contract. A very dissapointed Cell C customer. Should have stayed with MTN.
