I recently got a contract renewal phone from Autopage, and hardly a month into the contract, it is not working properly. I returned the phone to Autopage The Glen, but have been denied a replacement phone. I have been with Autopage for the past 6 years or so, and am disgusted at their refusal to offer me a replacement phone. To add insult to injury, they told me that I would have to pay /- R5000 to cancel the contract (contrary to the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act). They claim that they need to ensure that the phone was not physically abused, something very easy to determine in store, before offering a replacement phone. I would have thought having a contract with you implies some commitment on my behalf, as well as recourse for you to claim from me should I have been dishonest. I am now at my wits end, and require 1 of 2 options, either my phone is replaced or cancel my contract. I NEED A FUNCTIONAL PHONE!!!
