About 10 days ago I was contacted by MTN to renew my contract. They offered me a iPhone 5 white 64GB and asked me to call my closest branch which is in Benoni Lakeside Mall. Here is where the fun started. I tried to call them but after 1 hour of constant ringing phone I gave up. After another hour of battling I finally got thru just to be told they don't have stock but they will get one in 2 days and call me. After 5 days I finally got hold of them just to be told they don't have stock. What happened to calling me back. I then tried with MTN in Oakfields Benoni just to be told they will order one and I will have it in 24hours. Needless to say 24hours came and went, no call back, and when I finally phoned them I get told the same thing. No stock. I asked the lady if not one MTN shop in SA has got a iPhone 5 64GB in White and she said, very rudely, no one in SA has one. I fail to believe this and I am disgusted with the appalling service I received from MTN, especially since I have been a customer for nearly 10 years. I would now rather wait for my contract to end and move to Vodacom.
