Insurance claim declined for unreasonable excuses

I purchased a galaxy Tab from Cell C early last year. And at the same time entered into an insurance contract with their insurance service provider. My phone later got at work and they refused to replace my phone on grounds of negligence. My phone was at work not at a party/pub/club but at my work place, i do not see how that was negligent.
