On 10-02-2013 I took my white blackberry 9800 to the MTN store-Mall@Carnival for repairs. There was software problems with the device. On 18-02-2013 I received an sms stating that my phone had been repaired and it was at the store. I went pick up my phone and was notified by the in-store consultant that my phone could not be repaired and MTN would replace it with a brand new black blackberry 9800. I queried about setting the phone but was told there was no need to do any in store activation or device set up. When I took the phone home I began to experience major problems as I spent hours telephonically with MTN technical support trying to conduct a device system swap. Once that was completed I realized that my sim card was not working on the device yet I had full network. Having failed to sort out the device I went to the MTN store on 20-02-2013. Help desk then told me my phone was blacklisted and I would need to produce an affidavit to prove that the phone was purchased and not. After disputing the fact that I received the phone from them, they sent it to HVRG Tech dept. This HVRG Tech dept is responsible to ensure that all phones sold are in working order AND FAILED!!!
