Over promise- never to delive

I was due for upgrade on the 7th of January, I proceeded to check the monthly leaflet to see what my options were. I chose the Samsung Galaxy S 3 LTE as this was the best option for me. I went to my nearest branch to get the phone only to be told that they will need to order the phone which would take 2-3 working days, which I understood being in retail myself.

Being a little impatient with waiting 3 days after I called Vodacom Direct to see if they have stock as I was very eager to get my new phone, only to be told that they have not even received 1 unit of this phone however it was advertised as the new best thing in the new leaflet. This was not even communicated to the stores who now look like fools believing to receive the phone on the next few days.

Please explain to me how you market a product you haven't even taken delivery of yet? With me wanting to enter into a new contract for the next 24 months and receive a response like this makes me wonder if I should continue doing business with you.

Please provide me with the due date of the phone arriving and being available to the public as I cannot understand why a product is marketed but not available.
