NEOTEL CAN'T PROVIDE SERVICE WON'T CANCEL CONTRACT

We contracted NEOTEL to install a phone line at our company in Lonehill. 18 months later after several visits by their engineers to try to get it working properly, it still won't work. THEIR ENGINEERS ADMIT THEY CAN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. So in Nov 2012 we cancelled the contract. Bring in the phone and fill in forms they said. Done. Several phone calls/emails later, they still refuse to cancel the contract unless we pay R350 fee because in their view we are in breach of contract. UN BELIEVABLE! WE ARE IN BREACH?? ITS THEY WHO ARE IN BREACH OF CONTRACT, NOT US!! The fact they can't provide a service that works is the issue. We can't get anywhere with their Call centre. Manager? CEO? I don't think they exist; if they do, like Bank Managers they're rarely spotted except on the golf course. What a sad service industry we have in this country.. companies such as VODACOM and NEOTEL play games with customers knowing that eventually after so much time wasting and frustration we just give up... very depressing to think about about how this affects SA's economy... trying to run a business is definitely getting harder and harder.
