After a battle of several months we have cancelled Neotel (as they do breach of contract, misleading advertisement, contracts). The battle to get refund which was agreed upon goes on and on. Myself and my attorney have made it a life job to take legal action against Neotel as we have lodged a complaint at the Department of Trade and Industry who SHOULD take action. SA service providers were fined in Nigeria and it is about time that the SA government takes action too.
Good luck to the the other large SA provider when taking over Neotel, hope you make a clean sweep and get rid of a bunch of incompetent staff, otherwise it will damage your brand badly!
The consumer act is quit clear, yet consumer are not protected against bogus companies such as Neotel. Time that somebody takes action!
