On 26/11/2012 I approached the Vodacom For You store for more information regarding an upgrade of my grandchild's phone. We requested that he must show us for which handset my grandson would qualify without paying in any additional money for the handset. I stipulated more than once that I am not willing to pay in one cent for the phone. He advised that my son will qualify for the phone he selected. When signing the agreement I again asked him are you sure that I will not pay in any money for the phone He then assured me that I would not.
Again I was cautious and asked him again about the package he offered and that it must have a limit on the account per month. He assured me that I will not pay more than the R208.50 per month. He will activate the limit. When I paid the R150.00 for th admin fee, I again asked him to confirm that this is a admin fee and that I will not be paying more than R208.50 a month and will not pay anything for the phone.
I received a very unpleasant surprise when I received the first account after upgrading the phone.
No limit is activated and I am paying for a handset which is not disclosed. No response from the manager or agent.
