Are Vodacom staff really so incompetant???

I am sure that Vodacom call centre staff get trained to act incompetant so that Vodacom can just get more money out of us.
In November I received a call to ask if I want to upgrade my phone and extent my contract for another 2 years. Within a day (order number U559887) the phone was deliverd. After a week the phone did not want to make calls, although it received. I took it to the customer care centre and they said the phone was faulty. They refused to replace it, although it stated at the back of the Invoice, that should the phone be faulty within 7 Days, I can take it to a Vodacare centre. The answer was " we dont do it here. I asked to speak to the manager. When I said: "But at the back of the form it says I can bring it here, He told me NOT TO RAISE MY VOICE with him and he will not serve me if I raise my voice. HELLOOOOOO I AM A CLIENT!!! Then I decided this is the end of the road with Vodacom and called them and asked to cancel my contract and come and fetch the phone. They promised to do that within 3 days. Round about 22 Dec (a month later) I called them again. They promised that the phone will be fetched before xmas. (maybe the meant Xmas 2014) because up to date nothing
