Cancelled ACC handed to legal

In June the account was opened in my name in PTA after my bag was, I notified MTN and sent all the necessary information, i.e ID, affirdavits etc. The line was cancelled and debit order stopped by them. Today i get an sms from ShapiroShaikDevries&Assoc to pay the bill of R17557 within 48hrs. MTN cancelled this acc that was opened on my name. It was MTN's fault to approve the application as it was opened while i was not employed. They never did proper checks but approved. I expected then as a big company to clear the bill after the notification. I registrered my ID with SAFPS for. Someone in MTN is not doing their job and this is creating a bad profile for me, which i have never had an ITC problem, I PAY MY DEBTS. This was one transaction that was done as i also had same with Telkom but they resolved it last month. SP's should take precautions especially if you have cancelled the line, WHY STILL KEEP IT IN YOUR SYSTEM TO BILL? Do they have credit department that do their job to close these ACC? Should i go on ITC i will sue MTN because it is their fault to have me as a victim. Their vetting did not confirm MY EMPLOYMENT before approving.
