A couple of years ago I took out a contract at the MTN store in Springs. On the 1st of Dec 2012, my cell phone bill doubled, I contacted MTN around the 10th of December 2012 to ask them to explain the bill. Their response was that a new contract was added to my account in October 2012, this was done without my knowledge or consent. When I requested to see the paperwork on who took out the account, the response was that the shop was recently sold to a new company and they lost all the old paperwork.
I asked them to stop the account, but the next month the amount was still deducted from my bank. Thus still saying for a contract. The Springs branch is trying to assist by they get the run around from the MTN call centre.
I completed the necessary paperwork but still my account has not been correct. it is now almost close to 2 months and it has not been resolved. Why can't MTN resolve a query like this?
