Confirmed again - Telkom

A couple of years ago (2/3) I was called by Telkom about installing ADSL at my house. I signed up for the deal, the first date of installation came and nobody showed up. When I contacted them they apologized saying the techie got sick, so we set another date. Imagine my surprise when again, nobody pitched up... This time the whole story changed to "Sorry sir, but ADSL is not available in your area yet"??? Suffice it to say I told them where to get off. About a year later Telkom contacted me again, I explained the previous result and the operator was adamant that it would not happen again and that they definitely have the service available in my area. The pricing offered was not to my liking so I did not continue. The same thing happened about 6 months later. So today (27/1/2014) I thought, let me try it again. I checked the pricing deals and thought the uncapped 10Mbps looked reasonable and phoned them - the response - "Sorry sit, but due to cable occurring in your area we do not offer the ADSL service there" - Seriously?!?! We can have ADSL into other areas with high cable but that is the excuse for not having it in Sunward park? The more things change...
