I had applied for a student loan at Absa bank for my daughter as I can't afford to pay for her fees as am a pensioner. I was told I could not get approval because I owe Virgin Mobile which I do not owe.. A month ago they had called me to tell me that I owe them when I also suggested that they send me a letter clearly stating how much I owe them and for what months so that I could send the letter to my lawyer they failed to send me the letter. I went to virgin mobile in clear water mall today to get answers. Virgin then told me that they have a new system in place that they can not get old information from the account is from the year 2009 (I stand to be corrected regarding the year as this is an old account), when I spoke to the people that they handed me over to they told me that I have to pay R1000.00 which I can't pay not knowing what the payment is for. I want to get to the bottom of this whole mess that I know nothing of because it is in the way of me getting the loan to take my daughter to school. They said that I was in arrears because I made manual payments which I have never in my life did when I was working which was during the time of the contract. I NEED ANSWERS!!!
