Why should i bed to extend a data contract

I was called in Dec 2013 to renew my contract with 8ta, i said i will call in Jan 2014. I called today and no one is willing to help me, referring me to a store. I have spent over 40min on the phone with various agents, phoning all the numbers they give me and being transferred form pillar to post. This is crazy... One consultant was even willing to just cancel the contract as I said either help extend or cancel for me and his response was "no problem he can't help extent but he is willing to cancel" WOW talk about great customer retention here.

I wonder is he knows he is employed because customers pay their bills etc...

Lets me think my options are, Vodacom, MTN, cell C, neotel etc. Maybe I should just vote with my debit order...

If a senior person from *ta gives me a call today I might stay with 8ta, otherwise... kiss my!!!
