Cant deliver - have to cancel upgrade

I was called Tuesday 14-01 to upgrade my device (currently an iPhone 4s) to an iPhone 5. I was glad to have this opportunity, as I have been waiting 2 weeks for the Vodashop in Standard bank to get stock of the Iphone 5 and to let me know. Firstly I was not able to "downgrade" my package to an "s" as apparently you do not allow this - I challenged the agent who pushed very hard to explain that I would use the services.

I was due to receive my device within 5 working days, and was told that it was not going to be delivered before this week, which was perfect as I was on leave for the last 3 days of last week. The following day I received a call from the courier saying they were at my office to deliver. I asked whether they could deliver to a different address and informed me that I needed to call Vodacom to do this, which I did.

Today I called to check when delivery would take place (it is now 5 working days), and was told there was an unsuccessful delivery, and I would have to cancel my request and put in a new request for an upgrade after 48 hours. I would thus have to go through the entire process, and waste my time - because of their inability to change the delivery date!
