Cell C
Contract dispute and additional charges

Two & a half years ago, I moved from Vodacom to Cell C on a control chat contract. I was very happy for 2 years until it came time for my upgrade. I went into the Pavilion branch & spoke to a consultant called Ashley (who has since been fired) & asked if I could keep my old contract. I was told that I had to move to a new one & I specified that I did not want to spend more than what I was currently paying which was R350 a month. Ashley talked me into signing up for a straight up 200 contract which was supposed to cost R369 a month. I noticed that although the contract was listed as R369, there was also an additional amount of R57 for BIS. When I queried this, I was told it would be included in the R369 and at the bottom of my printed contract, it does say "Blackberry 9900 on Straight Up 200 at R369 pm x24". Yet since then, I have been charged R426 every month. I went to Pavilion and spoke to the manger about the problem and she said she would request the original contract which I'd signed and phone me when she had it. I have not heard from her and its been 4 months. Since then I have also recently been charged R4.30 a day for content services that I did not request! Very unhappy!!
