I applied for a Telkom special 2mb line with some bells an whistles on 13/12/2013. I was called later that day and confirmed pricing and usernames/passwords.
I heard nothing since and decided to go to clearwater Telkom shop to find out why. It appears that my credit score is 567 and to qualify without putting down a deposit I needed to have a score of 700. Ok sure, but i am registered with Experian and Transunion and get notified when an inquiry is done on my account. No request was sent against my ID number.
I checked again today - still nothing. I even ran a check on my profile and my score is 922 (Excellent).
Why is telkom lying that they sent a request. Why can they not request again? The fact that I have not received any communication WRT this account is beyond poor service!
I would like a response from Telkom as to why a previously happy customer has been treated so poorly. I suppose this is why MTN/Vodacom/Cell C make tons of cash!
