I submitted an application for a straight up 30 contract on the cell c website on Tuesday 7 Jan 2014, cell c only tried contacting me after 2days but I was unavailable at that time so I had to call them back today, 10 January 2014. Upon giving my details the salesperson says sorry but I am not approved to take out the contract, I asked why and he said it was because of some credit check that failed. I told him this is absolute nonsense as I am a student, I dont have ANY accounts what so ever, never did actually. The contract is only R30/month for 12 months & R114 connection fee which is a total of a total of R474. I can pay this upfront! I can buy ten or even 20 of these contracts upfront if I wanted to. Is it because I dont have a credit record? yes I am a student that only earns R600 a month from a part time job but how else am I supposed to take a contract. This is exactly why I went for the cheapest contract but like I said I can even buy out this contract upfront. I am really upset with this!
My second complaint is that my mother also applied for this same contract on Thursday, but as of now 10 Dec at 7:45 pm no consultant has even called her!
