I recievd an threatening sms from Telkom's attorneys, Fourie Sikweyiya, the sms stated: "FINAL WARNING TELKOM PMNT R11 261.60 DUE IMM @FNB 62034383224 REF NT4442 ON DEP BR CODE 210317 TO AVOID SHERIFF."
This is a long standing dispute as the account was in fact never opened by me, my Prepaid account was converted to a monthly billable account without my knowledge and Telkom are still expecting me to pay for the bill. I have always disputed this and I also disputed the fact that they obtained a judgement against me, without my knowledge and after the debt was prescribed.
I don't think this is the honourable way to conduct business. I still fail to see how I can be charged for an account that I never opened and did not make the calls either.
Telkom's attorneys have been less than willing to help and have instead been threatening in the communications with me, which I find unacceptable and demeaning. Surely Telkom have some company practice as to how customers should be treated, wether by themselves or their representatives such as Fourie Sikweyiya.
I hope that someone will be able to finally sort this issue out as I think I have been unfairly treated.
Chris
