False advertising - data costs

To whom it may concern

On the Vodacom website, it states that the "Out-of-bundle rate for Postpaid customers is R1.00 per MB and R2.00 per MB for Top Up customers. Promotional pricing valid until 6 February 2014."

I am a Postpaid customer and not a Top Up customer and should be charged accordingly.

After receiving a bill which shows over R3000 for data usage, a call to Vodacom proved that they charge R2 per Mb if you don't have a data bundle.

This amounts to false advertising, which is grounds for lodging a complaint with ASASA.

I am lodging this complaint on behalf of the contract holder who needs to be reimbursed for half the amount paid for data usage. Your website also needs to be corrected immediately.
