I just got a VERY nasty shock. I usually have a cellphone bill between R200 -R400 and just got a bill for close to R1000!!! I log into vodacom to see an amount owing of R1800!!! How can this be? Attribute it to out-of-bundle data charges of R2.00 per meg and NO sms to let me know that I am being charged this rate. The amount of data I'm supposed to have used is 750mb (don't even believe that). Even more, I got billed for the data used in February so I will be getting another ridiculous bill at the end of April for March usage so I couldn't even change my data usage in time. The person who responded to my complaint made no effort to help - a simple message of "you owe us and that's that". I will be cancelling my contract with this unethical organisation at the earliest opportunity even if I have to fork out a high penalty to do so. The feeling of being a valued customer for almost 10 years makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside... NOT.
