I took out a contract with Cell C approximately in August 2009 (not sure of the exact date) a 24 month contract. After 24 months the contract switches to a prepaid number after I cancelled it telephonically with a call centre agent. Yet Cell C put the debit order through after the cancellation every month for numerous months I allowed it thinking outstanding monies were still to be deducted. After almost a year I went into my bank to reverse the charges as one years' premiums are more than enough that I paid. Suddenly I received a letter from Cell C saying that they will take legal action unless I pay money outstanding. About mid 2013 I phoned the number and an unknown gentleman answered, I know I destroyed the SIM card after I cancelled it. I went into the branch today to rectify this, Primrose assisted me and said that there is no copy of the contract to check the T&C's. She only cancelled the contract on my name this morning. So I am being blacklisted for not paying another person's contract. Absurd and extremely unprofessional service and staff! I will take legal action because Cell C has no record of my contract but they know it's still on my name and what is outstanding.
