Having read several complaints on HelloPeter from people who used Vodacom's night owl data only to find their normal data was used up, I was sceptical to use Vodacom data at night. But I decided to give Vodacom the benefit of the doubt. On 20th Dec I accessed the internet early hours of the morning. Before going to bed I checked my data usage and was satisfied that night owl data was used and not my data bundle. i switched off all my data devices. Later that day I found that my regular data bundle was used up even though my data devices were switched off. I logged a call with Vodacom and have a reference number. I was promised a consultant would call me within 24 hrs but no-one did. I called Vodacom again on 21st Dec and was again promised a consultant would call me within 24 hrs but no-one did. I tried calling Vodacom again on 23rd Dec but after 20 odd minutes of waiting on the phone, I accepted my fate that no-one was going to take my call.
I still have no idea what happened to my data and the silence from Vodacom is deafening.
