Orange SA: False Advertising

Orange advertises "Free Delivery" on its website and that we can use it as if it is in South Africa. I quote "Products are shipped from the UK, at no extra cost (customs fees are included in the cost of the product), within the same delivery period and at the same rate as a standard South African order."

*This is simply not true as others have also pointed out.*

As for any positive reviews on this site: remember that companies can employ shills to boost their ratings.

Like the other poster I was also asked to pay additional fees by UPS for delivery of my order of 14 Dec. Even after several attempts to get Orange to sort out the matter I am still getting calls from UPS to pay fees for delivery. Orange are no longer answering my emails. So far: no delivery & no refund.

Mostly the call centre number simply says "the destination number is currently engaged". I did get through once and the problems in reaching them was then blamed on servers that were down.

The delivery fee of R 359.04 is a big part of the R 1018 of my order. They cannot afford to loose that, so for simple economic reasons I do not see how Orange can be running a real business. Time for Credit Card dispute?
