I purchased a 5Gb data bundle around 14/12/2013. When I later checked online, I had been billed but could not see the remaining balance on that 5Gb bundle. I called on 21/12/2013 and was told that the bundle was purchased but not loaded onto my account. Andiswa said she would get the technicians to load it pro-rata. I requested that it is instead loaded retrospectively so that all my data usage comes out of the bundle - she agreed to this and said they would let me know when it is done and it would be within 24 working hours.
I called on 24/12/2013 to follow up. Zanele said they were investigating what happened to my data bundle and expect to have a response by the 9th of January. I asked her how I am expected to know how much I have used and how much remains? She repeated her statement so I thanked her and hung up. VODACOM always conveniently makes mistakes like this to suit them - in this case charge me for a bundle which I cant use fully because I don't know the remaining balance, then try and charge me for out-of-bundle data at R2/Mb. I don't see why this should take three weeks top investigate - other than it allows Vodacom to try and charge me for out-of-bundle data.
