I purchased a new handset at the Vodacom Shop at Tygervalley Centre for cash as an impulse buy after seeing the TV advert for this specific phone. 'Direct Marketing' for sure.
I decided to return it for a refund within 24 hours which as far as I know is my right within the 5 day 'cooling off' period stated in Section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act and was refused due to an apparent No Refunds Policy in the store.
I was not made aware either verbally by the sales consultant or in writing on the forms I initialled. There was in fact no information about the cash purchase of handsets on these said forms.
I provided the store with all this information when relating my intent to rescind the purchase and am being blatantly refused.
I am very sure of my case, am being honest and feel my situation should be handled correctly and obliged.
