Applied for a Telkom landline solely to have DSL, because all mobile 3G signal is almost non workable in my area.
After waiting close to a month for my line to be converted to DSL, I decided to call Telkom to get some update on it at least. Finally after being passed from one call center to the next I was informed that Telkom has no ports available at my exchange. No word from Telkom to let me know or anything.
After talking to a lady on the phone, who was helpful, the options presented to me was, either to wait it out with no plans for the exchange to be upgraded or to move to a different area!
My question is, why is Telkom selling a service and they cannot provide and then telling the customer that there is nothing they can do about it?
