Bad after service by MTN

My wife bought a Samsung S4 phone from MTN Menlyn in September.By 1 December the phone started giving trouble. We believed it was a faulty battery. After sitting in the queue for an hour for service the consultant wouldn't hear about the battery and insisted that the phone be sent in for repairs. She gave the battery back to us. After two weeks we went to fetch the phone. Another hour in the queue! At home we put the phone together only to find the same problem (phone keeps on rebooting). My wife then tested it with another battery and found that it was working perfectly.
We took it back. Another hour in the queue... only to be sent to another branch in the same mall. They then took it in with the battery and charger to be examined.
Speaking to a battery salesman in the mall we were told that he has already sold about 300 generic batteries to customers with exactly the same problem and that he expects a faulty batch of batteries being supplied to clients at MTN.
I demanded a new battery, only to be told that I have to drive to Midrand for one. The consultants only pull up their shoulders at our complaints. Now we have to wait until January for the phone. Terrible service!
