Wrong information given during upgrade

I Upgrade from a Blackberry 9300 Top up 135 (Including BIS) to a Blackberry 9320 Top up 135 (Including BIS) in October 2012 at the Vereeniging Vodashop. Yesterday my BIS was de-activated. I asked to stay on the exact same contract, but wanted the Blackberry 9320. The consultant said I must pay in R 800 on the phone. He failed to inform me that if I choose this option my reduced BIS subscription will fall away after the 24 month contract expires. After countless attempts to contact the customer care 111 number with no success I went to the Vereeniging Vodashop to find out all the above information (2 hours later).
