Taking Incompetence to New Heights

Friday Evening: Phone. Called Nashua Mobile to blacklist the phone. They neglected to inform me that i needed an ICT number for insurance. Went to NM Sandton and got a new SIM.

Friday Night: Called for ICT number. Zain van Rooyen was away from his desk. All night!

Saturday AM: Called for ICT. Discovered that phone was not blacklisted, only blocked. Blacklisted the phone and got the ICT number.

Saturday PM: New SIM still not active. Called NM. Informed that person who did the SIM swap forgot to unblock the line. Line Unblocked.

Sunday: SIM still not working, Call center closed.

Monday: Called NM. Person who unblocked the line did not updated RICA. RICA updated.

Tuesday: Told that line is activated and i must wait another 24 hours.

Wednesday: Discover that the reason for the problems is that my MTN SIM was linked to my Cell C data account. Need to go back to NM Sandton and start the process again!
