Vodacom
POOR REPAIR SERVICE

Some time ago I went to Vodacom Pavilion regarding a peeling blackberry cover. This was acknowledged to be a common problem. I was told I had to go to Gateway shopping centre to have my phone fixed. On arrival I was told that I had to hand my phone in and that it would be sent to JHB. This is just to have a cover replaced!!? Whilst they did offer me a temporary replacement phone I refused as I was not prepared to accept the invonvenience for such a simple problem whilst having to cope with a replacement phone. I am informed that if you were to go to China City in Durban, they would replace the cover whilst you wait. Considering that I would have had to travel 80km, excluding my trip to Pavilion, this seems far less costly. Vodacom sells new phones to you within a few minutes but creates extreme invonveniences when these units have to be repaired. Seems to me Vodacom has something to learn from the Chinese about customer service. Now I'm stuck with two peeling pink blackberry covers (contract phones).
