I recently took out a contract as advertised widely in the media by Telkom's mobile network 8ta as a limitless call contract. They stated in their adds that you can call any network any cell phone nr any land line nr on this contract without any cost. You pay R1599-00 per month and that is it. After receiving my bill I was surprised to see that I have been charged for local calls!!! After signing the contract they tell me to read the FINE PRINT!!??? They charge you for all 086 numbers all enquires like 1023, your phone is blocked to call 082 126 (directory inquiries for Vodacom) if you phone 1023 which is directory inquiries for Telkom they can only read the number to you they can even sms or put you through to the number you query unlike Vodacom and they also charge you for doing a directory enquiry!!! Where is the limitless calls the so widely advertised in their ads???
