Watch out when changing business packages

I was contacted last week by Zandile Nyoka and offered an upgrade of my business account, which I accepted. This morning we tried to connect to our internet, and had no luck. We called in our IT consultant who eventually established after many calls to ISP and Telkom, that Telkom had for no apparent reason disabled our ADSL line, thus causing us to lose connectivity, and it appeared this was as a result of our agreement to change packages. What a joke! They took the whole day to reconnect me again, after being told by the first call centre agent it would take about half an hour to connect. two hours later, still nothing, and second time round we were fortunate enough to deal with Thabiso Mothloki. What a star. She kept me up to date via sms, and ensured that I went back online asap. As far as Telkom goes, I will be making sure they pay the costs incurred for the call out of my IT specialist. The downtime for the day, I will cover that, but also expect a pro rated refund of my one day downtime of the ADSL line.
