MTN has been charging "Promo" fees, which is basically the amortised cost of the device, since June 2013 when my wife's contract terminated. I contracted them to let them know and they said I would be refunded but when the end of the month came, in October, I got given a credit for 1 month and was charged Promo fees again. So basically they still owe me for July, August, September and November. I have contacted them about 4 times since and have not had any resolution. One of my reference numbers was REQ:2733263. I upgraded both of my contracts (for me and my wife) at the end of November so the promo fees should start again, but they still owe me backpay for 4 months. I believe they are purposefully money from their customers in this way.
