I have a iphone 5 on contract from cell c for the past 6 weeks and have not been able to use it for the past two weeks.
I have taken the phone to a cell c store (workshop). I was told that the handset is fine and that there is problem with cell c and i phone. I then took my phone to two i stores who both tell me that the handset is fine. i store sandton put in a sim from another provider and phone works.
Then went to cell c store in gateway and had a sim swop done only to find that the phone still does not work. I was then told by a staff member that the problem is between cell c and i phone.
I then called the durban technical department who said that the gprs settings onthere side was wrong and that the phone would be fine.
I used the phone for 1 day and as of yesterday afternoon have no service on the phone.
Then called cell c durban and was again told that the problem is between cell c and i phone. I was asked by a customer service manager (Sifiso) to call the Jhb office to try and sort me out as i now do not want the handset as i am paying for something i cannot use.
After again relating my story to cell c jhb and holding on for 12 min i get to the co's P.A.
